Sunday, Australia time, will see a big ten-game slate take place in the NBA. Unfortunately it is not the most enthralling bunch of games, with a number looking relatively lopsided, but fortunately that doesn’t mean that we can’t find some value across the board. With ten games there are plenty of betting opportunities, and below, we take a look at three of our favourite bets which form our weekend multi.

NBA Tips and Multi bet of the Weekend| November 1-3
Boston Celtics @ Charlotte Hornets
3rd of November, 9.05am AEDT, Spectrum Center
The Celtics entered this season as clearly the team to beat, a $4 championship favourite after they won their 18th of them last season with consummate ease. And though it’s only early in 2024-25, they have already shown why, even with Kristaps Porzingis sidelined. They won their first game of the season – against the Knicks no less – by 23 points and their second by 20, ultimately winning three of their first four by 11 points or more – incidentally, right on the line set for this game by betting agencies. This will be the second game between the Hornets and the Celtics in as many days, and at the time of writing the Celtics are going about systematically dismantling their southern opponents. Whether they hang onto the lead that they currently boast remains to be seen, but they are clearly a far, far better team than the Hornets. A 10.5-point line is not something and there is always the risk of a backdoor cover from the underdog in such a game, but the Celtics have proven that they are more than happy to keep the pedal to the floor against inferior opposition so far this season – which most teams in the league are. The Hornets would need absolutely everything to go right just to be competitive with the best team in the business in this one. This looks likely to be yet another blowout win to the Celtics, who should be able to cover the hefty line with another big win against the Hornets.
Memphis Grizzlies @ Philadelphia 76ers
3rd of November, 10.35am AEDT, Wells Fargo Center
The 76ers are meant to be good this season, and they probably will be. The addition of Paul George gives them a bonafide big three with plenty of potential, but keeping them all on the court is going to be a problem, and that’s already been the case so far this season. Neither Joel Embiid or George have been able to take to the floor yet in 2024-25 and won’t in this game either, and with Tyrese Maxey leading the way as a result with an otherwise reasonably thin roster they have unsurprisingly been not particularly good. The Sixers have lost three of their first four games of the season, and they haven’t been good losses either. The first was a 15-point defeat to a Bucks team which has otherwise struggled, while they have also lost by eight points to the Raptors and ten points to the Pistons. The Grizzlies have had injury troubles of their own to start the season and have been far from perfect, but they will be putting out a team for this game with far more depth than their opponents. Last game, the Grizz bounced back from a couple of poor performances with a thumping 23-point defeat of the Bucks led by a Ja Morant triple-double, and they will be looking to continue on their merry way against a very undermanned 76ers team. Morant and Jaren Jackson Jr will lead the way, while in Desmond Bane and Marcus Smart’s absence, Scotty Pippen Jr has stepped up in a big way with his tenacious defence. Both of these teams will be far from their best, but the Sixers are missing two of the three players that make this roster so potentially dangerous, and without Embiid and George they are going to struggle to be competitive. In a game that has been pitted as being relatively close by the bookies, the Grizzlies look like good value to cover the line in this one.
Minnesota Timberwolves @ San Antonio Spurs
3rd of November, 11.05am AEDT, Frost Bank Center
Last season, the Timberwolves won 56 games and finished 3rd in the Western Conference, while the Spurs won 22 games and finished 14th. There is certainly the expectation that the Spurs will improve this season while the Timberwolves could be excused for taking a little time to adjust to the absence of Karl-Anthony Towns and the addition of Donte DiVencenzo and in particular Julius Randle, but nonetheless the 3.5-point line set by betting sites looks a little too low for this one. The Wolves have been okay to start the season, losing reasonably close games to the Lakers and Mavericks while beating the Kings and the Raptors. The Spurs, meanwhile, are 2-3, having lost three games to decent teams and beat, reasonably impressively, the Rockets, as well as the Jazz. The Spurs bounced back impressively in their last game to beat the Jazz by 18 after being beaten convincingly by the Thunder, but the Timberwolves will provide an entirely different proposition for Wembanyama, Paul and co. The former of those will have a big say on how this game plays out, as he will for most Spurs games this season, and he won’t have things entirely his own way against the best defence in the league, led by his fellow lanky Frenchman and four-time Defensive Player of the Year Rudy Gobert, who will be able to make things about as tough as anyone as the league for his prodigious compatriot on the inside. The Spurs will beat some good teams this season, but they are still a young, developing team – Paul aside, of course. The Timberwolves are a bonafide NBA Finals threat, and with a full roster to choose from should be able to cover the 3.5-point line set by NBA betting sites for this game.
