New betting sites in Australia are popping up like flies, and a lot of them are pretty hard to differentiate from one another aside from the colour of their website. EliteBet, however, stands out from the crowd in a number of ways. Offering a number of features relatively unusual for new bookmakers, perhaps most notably really great odds, this is a new bookmaker certainly worth checking out. As with all betting sites they have areas in which they could improve, but this is among the best new betting sites that you will find.

EliteBet Strengths and Weaknesses

We’re going to kick off this EliteBet review by giving you a snapshot at some of the best and worst elements of the EliteBet Australia experience. Below, we list three of their biggest strengths, and three of their most notable weaknesses.

✔️EliteBet Strengths

  • Fantastic racing odds: The racing odds with EliteBet are, as the name of the company suggests, elite. This is super rare for a new betting site, with their fixed odds coming in better than nearly every one of their competitors, including their far more established counterparts.
  • Wide range of sports available: Much more so than many other new betting sites, there are a whole lot of different sports available to bet on with EliteBet, from popular ones like basketball and Aussie rules through to darts and even politics
  • Good mobile app: If you’re somebody who likes to bet on the go, you’ll be more than satisfied by the mobile app offered by EliteBet. It’s fast, easy to navigate, and lets you do everything you can do on the desktop site from the comfort of your mobile phone.

❌EliteBet Weaknesses

  • No live chat available: One area in which EliteBet could definitely improve their services is their customer support platform. Though the phone and email agents are certainly helpful, the lack of live chat is notable considering how prevalent it is with other sites.
  • No live streaming available: Live streaming is also something which would make the EliteBet experience a lot better. Not many new betting sites have live streaming available, but EliteBet Australia have proven they are no ordinary new betting site, so a streaming option or two would be a valuable addition.
  • No live betting available: Sticking to the live theme, the final area in which EliteBet falls down is their lack of live betting. With no option to bet on events after they’ve started, if you want to bet in this way you will have to direct your funds to another betting site.

👨‍⚖️EliteBet Final Verdict

For a new betting site, the balance of strengths and weaknesses looks pretty good for EliteBet. Generally new betting sites won’t have live betting or live streaming, so they’re certainly not alone in that regard, but their great odds and wide range of sports sets them apart from many other bookies which haven’t been around for a long time.

EliteBet Review

EliteBet is carving out its niche in an online betting world in which it’s difficult to do that, with a number of great features helping it to stand out as one of the better new betting sites in Australia.

A desktop site that is sraightforward and an app that’s a cut above the rest are the cornerstones of this bookie. The website is super simple to navigate, while if you prefer to use your mobile they have recently unleashed an app which is every bit as good, if not better, than the computer site.

On that app and desktop site, you will find a comprehensive line up of sports, featuring everything from mainstream favourites like footy and cricket to niche ones like politics. The variety of betting markets, however, for the more popular leagues and matches isn't as expansive as what you might find with some of the betting giants. If you’re looking for an array of player props, for example, there are certainly better places to look.

But where EliteBet Australia truly excels is in the odds department. Their competitive odds on sports are a strong draw, with line markets generally coming in at around $1.88 to $1.90. This extends to their racing, too, where EliteBet offers some of the best odds in the industry.

Sticking to racing, they also enhance the betting experience further with a couple valuable features. Bettors have access to comprehensive form guides and race insights, while the HOT Bets feature lets you look at the bets of some of the more in-form bettors going around.

In terms of banking, EliteBet keeps things pretty simple, offering just a handful of deposit options and one withdrawal option. These should be enough for most punters, and it is an added bonus that there deposit minimum is a very low $5.

Finally, to customer support, where EliteBet offers a decent service with phone and email contact options. However, the absence of a live chat feature is a noticeable gap in an industry in which its immediacy and convenience makes it a popular choice for many punters, myself being one of them. Its inclusion could significantly enhance EliteBet’s customer support offering.

In summary, EliteBet does a pretty good job of providing a high quality service as a relative baby in the betting industry. While there's room for improvement in market variety for big events and the addition of live chat would be a welcome enhancement, the competitive odds, especially in racing, make it a platform worth considering for all punters.

EliteBet Score

Betting Variety ⭐⭐⭐⭐

EliteBet Australia does a really good job of offering a wide variety of different sports to bet on. They also have a solid selection of markets available, though a few more non-traditional bet options would give them five stars here.

Banking Options ⭐⭐⭐

EliteBet offers three deposit options and one withdrawal options – a little better than some new betting sites but not as good as the more established betting giants.

Mobile experience ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

EliteBet has a high quality mobile app available for download on both iOS and Android devices, and which is super easy to use.

Payout Speed ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I’ve never had any issues with payout speed with EliteBet

Security ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I also haven’t had any issues with security with EliteBet either.

Betting Experience ⭐⭐⭐⭐

There is a great desktop site and mobile app, the markets and odds are good, and there are enough banking options for most people. One thing which would give them that coveted fifth star here would be the addition of live chat to their customer support.

Customer Support ⭐⭐⭐

The EliteBet customer support agents are generally helpful and quick to respond in my experience, but live chat is the best method of contact, in my view, so its absence docks them a couple of stars here.

Frequently Asked Questions About EliteBet

In this section, we will run you through a few of the questions that we get asked most often about EliteBet.

Is EliteBet better for betting on racing or sports?

It’s pretty good for both! From a sports perspective, it’s got a wide range of different options and a good but not great range of markets, while the odds are really competitive. For racing, however, they have a really comprehensive set of features on race pages, and most importantly the odds are among the best in the industry. With that in mind, they probably would be classified more as a racing site, but they’re pretty good in both regards.

Who can bet with EliteBet?

Nearly anyone, as long, of course, as you’re over 18 – as you need to be to bet with any site in Australia. You also need to be located within the country or you will not be able to access the site.

Does EliteBet ban winning punters?

Some betting sites have the bad reputation of banning punters once they start winning. I haven’t found any information to suggest that with EliteBet Australia, though of course that doesn’t mean that it doesn’t happen. As far as I know, however, there is no suggestion that they’re quick to pull the trigger when it comes to banning punters who are consistently winning money.

How does EliteBet compare to other new betting sites?

Very well. New betting sites generally struggle in a few notable areas, namely in their odds and lack of live features like streaming and in-play betting. The latter of those two are noticeably absent in EliteBet, too, but they have fantastic odds, and not just for a new site. Their odds are some of the best in the industry, and they also have a really good range of sports available, which can’t be said for many other new betting sites.

EliteBet Racing

Racing platforms are never particularly complex to navigate around, and while EliteBet’s is no different, we’re not giving out any points for making it simple to find the race you’re after. After all, that is part and parcel of any betting site worth their salt in the modern day betting game.

Where betting sites excel or flop in their racing offering, therefore, is in the features that they offer on race pages, and most importantly their odds. Let’s start with the former of those.

EliteBet’s race pages are pretty standard, offering fixed odds and tote bets for each runners, while if you click on a runner you’ll get a drop down featuring information about the racer and their recent form. You can also click a tab to include a speed map, flucs and form, the latter of which pops out in a separate window.

This is a pretty comprehensive race page overall, providing as much information as any racing betting site that you’ll find. As you can see in the above image, you can also click through to exotics like Quinella and Exacta, while EliteBet Australia also offers Same Race Multis for an added bit of excitement.

Now to the most important bit – the odds. A lot of new betting sites really struggle to be competitive with their more established counterparts, but EliteBet is not one of them. They well and truly live up to their name in terms of their racing odds, offering some of the better odds in the industry.

A look at the above race, as an example. The first runner is between $5.50 and $6.10 with most major betting sites, but is at $6.50 with EliteBet. That’s a huge value boost, and though it’s not like that for every runner they do tend to be towards the top end when it comes to value. That’s a massive plus for racing punters, and means that if you bet a lot on the races or put big bets on, EliteBet is absolutely worth checking out.

Finally, there is also a HOT Bets feature with EliteBet, which gives you a look at the tips of some of the most in-form punters over the past few weeks. Using this tool, you can take a look at who the best bettors are fancying, and include that in your own predictions.

There are a number of ways that you can utilise this, and we go into a little bit more detail about how to do so in the final section of this EliteBet review. There are, however, a few different options – you can tailor the type of punter you want to follow to your preferences, be that one which picks longer odds runners or one which is popular with other punters, and then you can choose either to directly follow them or simply incorporate their tips into your own system.

Overall, this is a high quality racing platform. Not only is it easy to use and detailed, but you’ve got same race multis available, and most importantly, the odds are terrific.

EliteBet Best Features

Most established betting sites have a few standout features which help them to separate themselves from the pack, but it’s not quite so common for new betting sites to have the same. With EliteBet Australia, however, there is one very notable feature which is pretty unique to them, and that another feature help to establish themselves as one of the better new betting sites going around.

HOT Bets

What is HOT Bets, you might ask? HOT Bets is a platform available on EliteBet which lets you take a look at some of the more successful tipsters going around. As you can see in the screenshot above, you can tailor this platform to your needs by selecting Frequent Winners, Roughie Tipsters or Popular Tipsters, and will be given a look at the performance of a number of tipsters. For example, the one above shows Dragons26, who has profited in each of the past five months. You can take a look at that punter’s bets for upcoming meets, or you can select certain journalists – whatever you want really. This is a really unique feature that isn’t really found elsewhere, and definitely helps to set EliteBet apart.

Elite odds

The name of this bookie suggests high performance, and from an odds perspective, they certainly deliver. This is another thing which is really rare with new bookmakers – generally one of the areas in which they struggle is providing competitive odds, but somehow EliteBet have managed to avoid this pitfall. Their racing odds are right up there with some of the best in the industry, while their sports odds, though not quite as elite as their racing counterparts, are still at worst average, and often towards the top tier of betting sites in Australia.

EliteBet Sports Coverage

As mentioned above, EliteBet does a hell of a lot better than many of their fellow new entrants to the betting industry in terms of the number of different sports that they offer. But while there is good range in that department, they could certainly improve the number of markets that they offer for major leagues. In this section, we will go into a little bit more detail about exactly what kind of stuff you can expect to find for some major sports.

Australian Rules Football

Though it is the offseason for the AFL at the time of writing, EliteBet Australia demonstrates its commitment to the most popular football code in the league by already having odds for the opening round of the season some three months out from the first bounce. This is something that not many other bookies are offering at the same time, and though there are only a couple of markets, when the season actually arrives that number will pick up. However, like with their other sports, it won’t be to the level of many other bookmakers, instead opting to stick to the traditional markets. You’ll have some player props, but overall not as many less common markets as some other bookies, but what you will have are very competitive odds.

Basketball

Basketball is, at present, one of the best ways to measure the quantity of markets offered by a bookmaker, with the NBA season in full swing and NBA betting sites capitalising on its popularity. EliteBet almost undermines itself by showing just ’21 markets’ for major games, or even 16 for others, but upon clicking through to the game itself you’ll find there is much more than that suggests. For example, player props are available, and even if it’s not the most comprehensive array of them, they are there – EliteBet just counts each market – for example, to score 20+ points – as one market, rather than counting every individual player as a market like some other bookies. Again, the odds are really good here.

Rugby League

Like with Aussie Rules, it’s the offseason for the NRL at the time of writing, but again there are odds available for the opening round of the season. These odds are competitive with the biggest bookmakers, and once the season begins there is also a solid selection of markets available too. State of Origin is another focal point of the rugby league season and has a solid number of markets to boot, while the NRLW will also see some, albeit limited, markets available on EliteBet.

Cricket

Head to the cricket section of the EliteBet site, and you will find a huge number of markets on leagues from all around the world. Whether you’re looking to bet on the upcoming Australian Test match, or an ODI between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe, you’ll find it here. For major events like the former of those, you can also place future bets on things like Highest Run Scorer for the Series, though those markets are absent for the less popular leagues, as they are with most betting sites. Overall there are a huge number of cricket markets on EliteBet Australia, and great odds to boot.

Tennis

There is always something to bet on in the tennis world, with matches going on all throughout the world on both the professional men’s and women’s tours. Odds for minor individual matches are available but there is not much more than head to head, but EliteBet does a great job of putting up futures for Grand Slams well in advance of the tournament. For example, in December there were markets for the winner of each of the four Grand Slams set to come the next year, ensuring you can get your bets in early if you think there is a little bit of value to be found. And once those Grand Slams come around, there are numerous markets on each game to bet on too.

Gridiron

Known as American Football on many other betting sites, gridiron is another sport for which EliteBet has a solid array of markets. A look at individual games in the NFL reveals good odds on basic markets as well as a decent albeit unspectacular selection of less common markets like player props, while you can also bet on college football here. You can also place same game multis on NFL games with EliteBet, and you can place futures bets on things like which team will win the Super Bowl, who will be the MVP, and which team will win each division.

Do EliteBetBet have any sponsorship deals?

No, currently EliteBetBet does not have sponsorship deals with any sporting teams. They do, however, partner with Racing NSW, Racing Queensland, Racing.com, Racing and Wagering Western Australia, AFL, NRL and Basketball Australia.

EliteBet Mobile and App

EliteBet Mobile and App

In the past, if you were out and about and decided you wanted to place a bet, you didn’t have a whole lot options other than finding your local TAB, heading to the machine, taking a ticket…it wasn’t exactly a quick process. Those days are long gone thanks to the advent of betting apps, and EliteBet has a really good one for their customers.

Designed for both Android and iOS devices, it retains the yellow and black design of the EliteBet website. While aesthetics obviously don't directly affect your betting results, we’d all rather an attractive app than an ugly one, and EliteBet Australia certainly fits into the former of those categories.

The EliteBet app lets you access all of this bookie’s sports markets, which as we’ve already discussed includes a pretty wide spectrum of different sports. Whether you’re looking to punt on cricket, basketball, or any one of our many footballs – or if you’re going to have a punt on the races – you’ll be able to do it on the mobile app.

The app is clearly designed to be as user-friendly as possible, enabling you to find what you’re looking for quickly and easily. Fortunately, the app functions super smoothly, meaning if you’re up against the clock to place a bet you’ll be able to get to your desired markets as efficiently as possible.

This might not sound like a big deal, but for whatever reason there are still some betting agencies which don’t have particularly user friendly apps. Some of these are the bigger betting agencies going around, which I can’t get my head around – it’s such a popular way to bet and having an app which malfunctions must be super detrimental to their customer base, so surely spending money to fix it would be worthwhile?

Anyway, my own gripes aside, EliteBet doesn’t fall into that category of betting sites anyway. In all my hours of using their app I didn’t come across any glitches, and was able to quickly and efficiently access what I needed to.

You can, as always, also access all of the other features of EliteBet. Need to get in touch with their customer service team? You can do it here. Deposit or withdraw funds? It’s easy on the app. Or, if you want to use one of their unique features like HOT Bets, that can be done on the phone too.

In conclusion, for anyone interested in betting on the move, or even those who just prefer to use their mobiles – myself being one of those people - the EliteBet app is a good one. You can do everything you can on the website itself, and what’s more you don’t have to be behind a computer screen to do it.

EliteBet Banking

EliteBet's banking platform offers a straightforward approach managing funds; one which certainly doesn’t excel in its range of payment options but which is still very easy to use. The platform features a selection of deposit methods including debit/credit cards, POLi, and bank transfers.

The use of debit and credit cards for deposits is a standard feature in online betting and is my preferred method because, basically, it results in immediate deposits. Transactions are processed quickly, allowing punters to get down to business straight away.

POLi provides a direct link between the user’s bank account and their betting account, bypassing the need for credit or debit cards. If you’re hesitant to share your card details online this can be a good choice, and it also results in immediate deposits – a major plus.

The final deposit option is bank transfer, which is the slowest of the methods. Using this payment option you’ll have to wait a day or two for the funds to arrive in your account, so if you need it immediately you should stick to one of the other options. For all of these three payment methods, the deposit minimum is a low $5.

In terms of withdrawals, EliteBet Australia, like many bookmakers, offers just one option – bank transfer. While this limits your options, to be honest there will be very few punters who have an issue with this, given that it transfers funds directly to your bank account. The minimum withdrawal limit is set at $10, and you should expect to wait a withdrawal time of a day or two for the funds to arrive.

Overall, EliteBet’s banking platform, though not the most diverse in terms of withdrawal options, provides a solid range of deposit methods and is generally easy to use. The low minimum deposit is also a big plus, rounding out what is a pretty solid part of the EliteBet experience.

Is EliteBet Legal in Australia?

Yep, there is no need for you to worry about legality and security when it comes to EliteBet, nor any of the sites that we at BettingTop10 review on our site. EliteBet is licensed and registered with NSW Liquor and Gaming, so you can be confident that you’re using a legitimate betting site when betting with them.

They are also a member of the NSW Bookmakers Cooperative, which guarantees payment to winning punters. They’re also governed by their own Responsible Gambling Code of Practice, and in South Australia, by the Souther Australian Code of Practice.

What’s more, if you want to sign up with BetStop, the national registry which lets you sign up to prevent yourself betting with any registered Australian betting agencies if your punting is getting out of control, you can do so via a link at the bottom of the home page on EliteBet. And if you want more information about their own Responsible Gambling Policy and some links to relevant gambler’s help authorities, you can also find that by clicking on the Responsible Gambling Policy link.

EliteBet Customer Support

In the world of online betting, customer support is a key pillar of a betting agencies offerings and can have a major impact on user experience. EliteBet's approach to customer service showcases a traditional but effective means of communication, with both a dedicated phone line and an email address for customer inquiries and support. The absence of live chat, however, is a notable gap in an otherwise solid platform.

EliteBet’s phone support line is the easiest way to get an immediate resolution to an issue. Customers can speak directly with a support representative, and this ability to speak directly to another human can be invaluable, particularly for more complex issues. The response time is generally prompt and the service is both professional and courteous, which is a significant positive for customers who opt to use this method of communication.

Granted, I have only been on the phone with them a couple of times while researching for this review, so I can’t necessarily speak to every agent that they have. At least for the couple that I have spoken to, however, there was a clear professional courtesy and a desire and ability to help me out.

For those who are more inclined to communicate digitally, EliteBet's email support functions as a reliable alternative. It allows users to write out their longer issues, and importantly enables them to continue going about their day while EliteBet Australia deals with the issue. This is perfect if you’re at work or, really, doing anything other than just betting, and want to send off your issue then forget about it until you get a response.

Despite these strengths, the lack of a live chat feature is a big issue, especially given how common that platform is with most betting sites. Live chat has become an industry standard for its convenience and the immediate connection it provides between customers and support staff. Its absence can be frustrating for users who need quick answers and resolutions, and though the phone line can help out in that regard, not everyone has the privacy nor inclination to pick up the phone and give them a call.

In all, EliteBet's customer support is a mixed bag. On one hand, their agents are generally really useful and you have the option to speak to them on the phone or send a message. The lack of live chat, however, can be particularly frustrating for those (ahem, myself) who really favour this form of communication. With the addition of live chat, this would be a quality customer support platform.

EliteBet How To

Finally, we will round out this EliteBet review by taking a really in-depth look at how to undertake a couple of important functions with the company, starting with opening an account.

How to open an account with EliteBet

It’s never too tricky to open a betting account, with the process generally taking no more than a minute or two. This is how you do it with EliteBet.

  • Head to www.EliteBet.com.au
  • Click the ‘Join’ button in the top right hand corner of your page.
  • That will bring up the below page.

  • Fill in all the relevant information, including your personal details like name, date of birth and email. You can also choose to set a deposit limit if you desire, and create a user name and password.
  • Once you’ve done that, that’s pretty much all you need to do. Click on the Join button and you’re on your way!

How to place a bet with EliteBet

Now that you’ve got your EliteBet account created, it’s time to place a bet. This is how you do it.

  • Locate your market of choice in either the mobile app or the EliteBet desktop site. Doing so is simply a matter of following the prompts to your selected sporting event or race.
  • When you click on the odds corresponding to the market you wish to bet on, a betslip will come up with the option to enter your stake into an empty box.
  • Enter your desired stake.
  • This will subsequently bring up confirmation of your odds and the estimated payout if it wins. Once this is done, all you need to do is click on Confirm Bet and your bet will be placed!

How to utilise HOT Bets with EliteBet

HOT Bets is one of the best features of EliteBet, enabling punters to get an advantage by following more experienced bettors. This is how you do it.

  • On the website or app, locate the HOT Bets tab – this is just listed alongside all of the different sports and races.
  • Once you click on it you’ll have the choice of a number of punters you can follow. You can either take a look at their bets or simply directly follow them by inputting a stake into the box corresponding to their name.
  • To scroll through a few different punters with HOT Bets, you can tailor your search to what you’re looking for – if you’re looking for roughies, for example, you can choose Roughie Punters, while you can also find the punters who are in the best form, or are the most followed.
  • There are a number of ways that you can utilise this platform. One good way is to implement their predictions into your own research, though if they’re really in good form it might not be the worst idea to take their word for it and follow their bets directly.
