Courtesy of a very good website, mobile app and a wide selection of markets, I have found the betting experience to be a good one with Palmerbet! However, they have a very big racing focus so if one wants to bet sports it would have to be coupled with a fair few racing punts.

Palmerbet’s customer support is generally good, aside from the notable exception of a live chat feature from their contact options.

Since being initially founded in 2013, Palmerbet has become one of the many trusted bookmakers offering both sports and racing markets around the country. While they don’t exactly boast the renown of the biggest players in the industry, they have a whole lot going for them. And I think that if the company can make a couple of valuable additions to the service they offer customers, well then, they will deserve a spot among the top Australian bookies.

One of the most notable features I believe Palmerbet has is the fact that they offer very competitive odds, as well as a wide range of markets on popular sports in particular. It’s safe to say that these are pretty valuable features! For many punters, I believe that good odds and a decent selection of markets are the first thing that they look for in a bookie, so the fact that they offer both of these means that they will invariably attract plenty of fans!

I also think that they have a terrific website and an even better mobile app! The website is as simple as it should be, making it easy to navigate to where you want to go, and it generally loads quickly. The app, available for iOS and Android devices, does much the same, providing users with an easy, on-the-go Palmerbet experience. As mentioned, however, I feel as though there are a couple of key areas in which Palmerbet have significant scope for improvement. The company offers neither live betting or live streaming at the time of writing, both of which have grown rapidly in popularity in recent years and have gone from unique points of difference to part and parcel of most major bookies. I have found that a handful of companies offer both, and many offer at least one, so given that Palmerbet has neither is disappointing for an otherwise solid bookie.

The final area in which they could improve is their customer service. While this platform is, on the whole, reasonable enough, and the agents are generally helpful, there is a notable absentee from their list of contact options – live chat. Live chat is a focal point of most big bookies’ customer service offering, and I think that Palmerbet would be well-served to add it to their own arsenal!

Despite these flaws, however, I believe that Palmerbet is still, by and large, a very good bookmaker. One of the most important aspects of any mobile device is functionality, because this is where many of the less impressive apps fall down in my opinion. The worst among them take an inordinate time to load and regularly crash, making them very difficult to use, but in my experience – these issues are virtually non-existent with the Palmerbet app! I believe that the margins they offer on racing are among the best in the industry, meaning that you’ll get odds competitive with virtually every other Aussie bookmaker when betting with Palmerbet!

I have found that placing a racing bet is also a nice and simple process with Palmerbet. The main page for each race lists the win/place odds and to place a bet you simply click on whichever odds appeal to you. Exotics are also easily accessible via tabs just above the market odds.

I believe one area of Palmerbet’s racing offering that can be improved upon is in the addition of a more detailed breakdown of races.
