Best Multibet Tips of the Weekend | April 13th

Our multibet will come from Bendigo this week, paying $459.20 if they all salute at the Victoria track on Saturday afternoon.

Saturday is one of the top days in the Bendigo calendar and they have been rewarded by some smart horses lining up. There are a few on the day who could be stars in the making and we have these unexposed and progressive types in our multibet to take on the horse racing bookmakers

Bendigo R2 #4 - Bold Bastille $1.40

Youngster is a very short price but she deserves to be as a winner of three of her four career starts so far. The only time that she has been beaten was in the Blue Diamond Prelude when she was behind Hayasugi which is not a bad line of form to bring to the table in a contest such as this. Has won over this 1000m trip and over an extra 100m with a good surface suiting her well. Is a simple point-and-shoot type who should pick up another win here.

Bendigo R5 #10 - Moby Dick $2.05

Has been an impressive winner visually on both of his career starts, a maiden and then a Benchmark 64. This is a fair step up in class for this third start but he very much looks the type who is going to be capable of taking it in his stride. He won that handicap by three lengths with his turn of foot very impressive. Will need to produce another career best here but it is impossible to know where the ceiling of his ability is at present which makes him an exciting prospect.

Bendigo R8 #8 - Roll On High $3.20

The Bendigo Guineas is a solid Listed level contest this season but this filly brings form at a much higher level. She was 6th in the Group 1 Surround Stakes at Randwick in her first start this prep but only beaten three and a half lengths. 4th in the Group 2 Skyline last time out, she arrives third up and should be rock-hard fit and ready to roll. She saluted on her only other third-up start and can continue that sequence and make it 2/2 here on this slide in class.

Stats and Insights

  • Bendigo is a hair under 2,000m around with a straight of over 400m.
  • Jye McNeil has a 25% strike rate riding for Mick Price and Michael Kent this season, he rides Moby Dick for them.
  • Low barriers have a marginal edge in sprint races but it is not significant.
  • Peter Moody and Katherine Coleman have an ROI of +31 at Bendigo this season, they run Roll On High.

We always like to try and find some of the future stars of the sport in our multibet. Horses who have better efforts still to come make up the three selections on Saturday with picks out of our black book in action.
