Horse Racing Multi Bet of the Weekend
Best Multibet Tips of the Weekend| September 16th

Randwick is our track of choice on Saturday afternoon for a massive multibet tip covering three of the races on the card.

We have three horses in a multibet at Randwick on Saturday that we strongly feel will lead their fields home in front. If they do, the horse racing bookmakers will be crying into their Sunday morning breakfast.

Randwick R5 #16 - Just Fine $3.40

Second emergency, but scratchings have got the Gai Waterhouse-trained gelding in, and the market has noticed. Formerly trained in the UK by Sir Michael Stoute for The King, he was a wide-margin winner of his final start there and began for this stable in a similar fashion at this track earlier in September over a trip short of his best. He is up to 2000m from 1600m for his second start for Waterhouse, and that should see him take another step forward in terms of form and fitness, as that was his first start since last October.

Randwick R7 #9 - Fangirl $3.20

What a start to the spring from this mare, running down the Winx Stakes field close home. She came from much further back than the other principals in that race, so the form should be marked up slightly. The runner-up Princess Grace did the form no harm when chasing home Mr Brightside in the Memsie Stakes subsequently. The Winx was her first Group 1 win, and she looks more than capable of stepping up on that career-best later in the spring, but she can win this Group 2 in the interim.

Randwick R8 #5 - In Secret $3.00

Although the Godolphin mare was behind Remarque in the Concorde to start her prep, she can reverse that with the run under her belt. She won the Group 1 Newmarket in the autumn and will have done a power of good, blowing the cobwebs away on her return. The return to a quicker surface should help her, and while this is a Group 1 field in a Group 2, she is a class act and can get herself in front where it matters.

Stats and Insights

  • Randwick is a galloping track with over 400m to run off the home turn. The straight is slightly uphill late on, which can make for some late changes in the running order and enjoyable in-running betting.
  • James Cummings has a 21% strike rate at Royal Randwick in the last 12 months. He’s the only trainer in that time to saddle more than 100 horses and have a strike rate better than 12%. He has In Secret, amongst others, on Saturday’s card.
  • Races from 1000m-1200m start on a shoot with a slight kink. Low barriers must be quick to stride, or they will be shuffled back, so middle draws are preferred.
  • The 2000m start is right on a bend, so this can favour those with inside barriers.

The racing keeps getting better and better this spring, and the quality on show at Randwick on Saturday is top-notch. Our three selections will have bigger targets this prep ahead but can take out their prizes on Saturday in style.
