EPL: Arsenal's League Title Hopes Dashed, but Impressive Attack Shines Amidst Defeat

Arsenal were league leaders for more than 90% of the season. With an exciting attack, creative midfield and solid defence, this was sure to be Arsenal’s season after being so positive throughout. The exciting signing of Gabriel Jesus gave them a huge boost with his world class skill and attitude. However, the mighty Citizens did not let them breathe and now looks to secure the title after Arsenal’s 3-0 loss to Brighton & Hove Albion.

Saka, Jesus and Martinelli

This front 3 for Arsenal have been nothing short of amazing this season. Saka has 13 goals and 11 assists in 36 games, Martinelli has 15 goals and 5 assists in 36 games and Jesus has 10 goals and 5 assists in 24 games. These 3 have been immense this season and have been a handful for defenders all around the country. This is a front 3 that league title contenders want in their team and no team wants to play against. In saying this, we cant talk about Arsenal’s attack without mentioning Odegaard who has 15 goals and 7 assists in 35 games, a natural leader and world class player.

League thrown away?

No other side has been top of the table for as long as Arsenal were without winning the league. After sitting at the top for 93% of the season, their 4-1 loss to Manchester City saw them move to 2nd and their 3-0 loss to Brighton & Hove Albion almost confirmed that they won’t be winning the league. They are now at $41.00 to win the league on Palmerbet.

Arteta Magic

Although it looks impossible to win the league, Arsenal must be proud of the season they had. They play beautiful football with a young and exciting team. After a great season, Arsenal will be looking to spend big in the summer to close the gap on Manchester City. They will be looking at players such as Declan Rice and Moises Caicedo, according to Arsenal FC News on Twitter.
